Compensation & Benefits

$80,000–$100,000 base salary, depending on experience

100% employer-paid employee health insurance

Dental and vision coverage

401(k) with 4% employer match

15 days PTO

Company-paid travel expenses and company card

Rental vehicles provided for applicable travel assignments

This role combines a true controller's rigor with the strategic view of a finance leader and requires regular presence on the plant floor rather than a desk only approach.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Own product and raw milk costing, including allocation of milk categories and cost tracking across multiple cheese product lines (mozzarella, burrata, ricotta).

Review work orders daily, investigate significant manufacturing variances, and close completed work orders in the ERP system.

Support the annual operating budget process and maintain rolling monthly and quarterly forecasts.

Manage full cycle accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of internal P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.

Own cash flow management, net financial position, and banking relationships, including vendor and supplier payments.

Serve as an authorized signer and act as a company officer on financial and banking matters.

Partner with the company's external auditor and outside tax advisors on annual financial statements and tax filings.

Act as a true business partner to ownership, proactively flagging financial and compliance risk while staying pragmatic and solutions oriented.

Support the business through future growth initiatives, including potential acquisitions, as the finance function scales.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Active U.S. CPA license strongly preferred; this role will serve as a company officer and authorized signer on financial and banking matters.

Prior experience as a Controller, Finance Director, or senior finance/accounting leader within a manufacturing environment; food and beverage, dairy, or CPG experience strongly preferred.

Public accounting background (Big Four or national firm) is a strong plus, ideally including audit experience with manufacturing or industrial clients.

Hands on, detail-oriented approach, comfortable working at the transaction level and spending time on the plant floor rather than solely reviewing reports from a desk.

Strong foundation in cost accounting, standard costing, bill of materials, and margin analysis within a multi-SKU manufacturing environment.

Working knowledge of US GAAP; familiarity with IFRS is a plus given the company's international ownership.

Proven experience managing cash flow, banking relationships, and net financial position.

Strong business partner orientation: direct and proactive in raising issues, while remaining pragmatic and focused on business continuity.

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; Italian language ability not required but a plus given the ownership structure.

Available to work on site five days a week in the Greater New Haven, Connecticut area.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a comparable mid market ERP system.

Experience supporting a business through periods of rapid growth, integration, or M&A activity.

Exposure to warehouse management system (WMS) implementations.

We are seeking an experienced Welding Process Engineer to join a well-established marine manufacturing organization in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

This is a highly technical, hands-on engineering role for someone with a background in shipbuilding or boatbuilding who understands how welding impacts the overall vessel — including structural integrity, quality, production schedules, cost, and downstream manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert for welding processes across both aluminum and steel vessel construction. We are looking for a big-picture technical problem solver who can investigate complex welding issues, determine root causes, and implement sustainable process improvements rather than simply correcting individual defects.

Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as a technical resource for steel and aluminum welding processes throughout vessel construction.

Investigate welding issues including distortion, cracking, weld defects, excessive rework, and productivity constraints.

Perform root cause analysis and develop corrective actions that prevent recurring welding problems.

Analyze heat input, welding parameters, filler materials, base metals, joint design, fixturing, and weld sequencing.

Develop and improve welding processes to increase quality, productivity, repeatability, and first-pass yield.

Develop and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) in accordance with applicable codes and standards.

Evaluate welding sequences and their impact on vessel structure, distortion, production flow, and downstream operations.

Identify opportunities to incorporate welding automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

Partner with welders, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Inspection teams to resolve production challenges.

Provide technical guidance and training to welders on procedures, processes, and new technologies.

Support weld inspections and coordinate NDT activities as needed.

Evaluate new welding equipment, tooling, consumables, materials, and technologies.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on welding quality, labor efficiency, cost reduction, and throughput.

Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and new vessel/product introduction initiatives.

Maintain process documentation, standard work instructions, and process control plans.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification.

Professional experience within shipbuilding or boatbuilding.

Strong experience with both aluminum and steel welding.

Strong understanding of welding processes, metallurgy, heat-affected zones, distortion, weld defects, and welded joint performance.

Experience performing root cause analysis and corrective action for welding-related manufacturing issues.

Knowledge of welding procedures, specifications, qualification requirements, and quality standards.

Ability to work hands-on in a shipyard/manufacturing environment and collaborate directly with production personnel.

Preferred Experience

Knowledge of ABS Rules for Materials and Welding.

Familiarity with AWS D1.1 – Structural Welding Code: Steel and AWS D1.2 – Structural Welding Code: Aluminum.

Welding automation and/or robotic welding experience.

Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement experience.

CAD and/or manufacturing process simulation experience.

Experience with digital weld monitoring or traceability technologies.

What We’re Looking For
We are especially interested in someone who approaches welding problems from an engineering and process perspective.

When a welding issue occurs, you should be comfortable determining not only what went wrong, but why it happened, how it affects the larger vessel and production process, and what changes need to be made to prevent it from happening again.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Welding Engineer who enjoys being close to the manufacturing floor, solving complex technical problems, and having a direct impact on the quality and efficiency of vessel construction.

Qualified candidates located outside Wisconsin are encouraged to apply. Relocation assistance is available.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

A food and beverage manufacturer in Monroe Township, New Jersey. It makes branded products and private label lines for supermarket chains and supplies food service customers through national distributors. The company is part of an international group and is growing quickly.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As the company grows, its senior sales leaders are hiring a Sales Operations Specialist to oversee new product launches day to day. You will manage each new business opportunity from the customer's invitation to bid through roughly the first six months after launch.

You will build accurate bid and pricing sheets with finance and purchasing, coordinate with production and operations, and keep launches on track once orders start. On landed accounts you are the day-to-day first point of contact for customer requests such as documentation and certifications, while the sales leaders remain the lead relationship. The work is the same across retail (supermarket chains, mostly private label) and food service (national distributors).

You report to the Senior Vice President of Sales. This role does not include prospecting or lead generation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Manage new business opportunities from invitation to bid through launch: gather customer specifications (product, format, weight, delivery terms) and estimated volumes, and prepare complete, accurate bid documents

Build pricing and bid sheets by coordinating cost inputs with purchasing, finance and raw materials, then hand the cost sheet to the sales leaders, who set margin and price

Run each launch through its first six months: track orders and deliveries with operations and logistics, resolve delays with carriers, and hold weekly cross-functional check-ins until the item reaches a steady run rate

Act as first point of contact on landed accounts for requests such as documentation, certifications, specifications and order questions, keeping the sales leaders informed

Enter and maintain product specifications and certifications in retailer portals

Review customer contracts and understand their terms, including rebates, promotions and deductions, and keep contracts, customer records, price lists and account activity organized and accurate (deduction disputes stay with finance)

Analyze monthly and quarterly performance by customer, area and agent, including customer and item margin, using internal sales data and the company's ERP (SAP, currently being implemented)

Prepare sales reports, customer and trade presentations, and account performance reports for senior management

Work with colleagues at the company's plants in Europe and India, mostly by video call and email

Join customer meetings and trade shows with the sales team as the role develops

WHAT YOU BRING

3 to 5 years of practical business experience, for example in an analyst, sales support or sales operations role, ideally in consumer packaged goods

Strong analytical and math skills, with precision on pricing and bid sheets

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and comfort using AI tools

Working use of SAP or another ERP such as Oracle or Microsoft: running queries and extracting data (no postings)

Ability to read retail and food service customer contracts and understand U.S. grocery contract terms, including rebates, promotions and deductions

Project management across purchasing, finance, production and raw materials, and the ability to build working relationships across departments

Highly organized and proactive, with strong time management across multiple priorities, and confident and personable with customers and colleagues

Ability to work on-site in Monroe Township, New Jersey, five days a week

HELPFUL TO HAVE

Experience on retail bids or product launches with large supermarket chains such as Kroger or Wakefern, ideally in private label

Food service experience, including work with national food service distributors

Food and beverage or CPG experience (food strongly preferred); private label or grocery retail sales support from other categories is also considered

Understanding of how private label programs work within a retailer's category management
