Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Technical Project Engineer to spearhead the setup, commissioning, and operational support of a brand-new U.S. manufacturing facility. This critical role offers a rare opportunity to be at the forefront of an international company's expansion efforts.
In this highly visible position, you will initially lead plant implementation activities—coordinating construction, equipment installation, and integration of imported machinery. Post-launch, you will transition into a key operational support role, driving continuous improvement and ensuring the long-term efficiency and success of the plant.
Fluency in both Italian and English is essential, with Spanish considered a strong asset.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities Phase 1 – Plant Implementation (Project Engineering)

Coordinate construction schedules with equipment deliveries and installations.

Manage technical interactions with European suppliers and U.S. installation contractors.

Oversee the implementation of production lines, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.

Lead efforts around installation, testing, and commissioning of production systems.

Act as the main technical liaison between U.S. teams and European headquarters.

Serve as the primary technical resource for post-startup plant operations.

Drive preventive and corrective maintenance programs alongside HQ and local teams.

Champion process improvements to enhance plant performance, reliability, and efficiency.

Support hiring, training, and coordination of local maintenance and operations staff.

Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, operational standards, and documentation practices.
Ideal Candidate Profile Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Process, or related disciplines).

10+ years in technical engineering roles within industrial manufacturing environments.

Prior experience in plant setup, commissioning projects, and project coordination is essential.

Exposure to the installation of European machinery in U.S.-based operations is highly advantageous.

Background in regulated industries such as food, feed, or chemicals is a strong plus.

Experience working with international companies, particularly Italian enterprises, preferred.

Bilingual: Italian (mandatory) and English (fluent); Spanish is a plus.

Practical, hands-on problem solver with a solutions-driven mindset.

Comfortable working in a small-to-mid size enterprise (PMI) environment where flexibility and initiative are key.

Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with multicultural teams.

Willingness to travel internationally during initial phases and engage deeply on-site.

Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and project management abilities.
