Job Description
Join a fast-growing international manufacturer with North American operations with aggressive plans for continued expansion. Multiple production facilities and a lean, hands-on environment, this organization is looking for a high-potential accounting professional who’s ready to take ownership, build processes, and grow with the business.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Accountant you will play a key role in managing the general accounting of a multi-site manufacturing operation. You will develop solid accounting procedures, ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate policies, and provide guidance to junior accountants. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, human resource, and senior management, to drive financial success and maintain operational efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Support month-end and year-end close process for a multi-site manufacturing operation.
- Develop, improve, and document financial processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate principles and procedures.
- Liaise with tax advisors for corporate and state income tax returns.
- Responsible for reconciling accounts and identifying discrepancies.
- Maintaining general ledgers and handling journal entries, including payroll
- Analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status.
- Overseeing supplier disbursement process
- BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as accountant (experience in manufacturing environment preferred)
- GAAP knowledge (revenue recognition, accruals, etc.)
- Knowledge of standard costing and manufacturing variances is a plus.
- Experience with integrated accounting systems (Microsoft GP Dynamics, Analitica, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills, such as pivot tables and query
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to complete projects timely and accurately.
- Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
