The Role
We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to provide lead accounting support for corporate operations and shipyard locations in Green Bay and Sturgeon Bay, WI. This role is responsible for period-end close activities, financial reporting, balance sheet integrity, and ongoing accounting support for project-based operations.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced accountant who enjoys hands-on ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and working in a structured, project-driven environment.
What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prepare and record period-end journal entries, including intercompany entries and allocations

  • Complete monthly percentage-of-completion entries and reconcile construction contract balance sheet accounts

  • Maintain and review balance sheet accruals, reserves, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity

  • Perform monthly profit and loss and balance sheet analysis and reporting

  • Support weekly cash forecasting activities

  • Assist financial analysts with quarterly forecasts and annual budgets

  • Support audit requests by providing timely, accurate documentation

  • Maintain proficiency with financial systems and support continuous improvement initiatives

  • Participate in process improvement efforts to enhance consistency and efficiency across accounting operations

  • Perform ad hoc reporting and special projects as assigned

  • Adhere to all organizational, quality, and safety policies
What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 3+ years of general ledger and accounting experience

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting processes

  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills

  • Experience with ERP systems such as BAAN, Epicor, or SAP preferred

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and recommend solutions

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills

  • Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain confidentiality
Work Environment
This role is based in a professional, climate-controlled office environment with occasional exposure to shipyard settings. The position is fully onsite, with potential travel between Green Bay and Sturgeon Bay as needed.
