A global leader in the manufacturing of professional coffee equipment is seeking a Sales Manager – West Coast to drive growth and expand market presence across the region. With a strong heritage of innovation, quality, and cutting-edge technology, the company produces high-end espresso machines and solutions tailored for the specialty coffee, hospitality, and foodservice industries. Purpose of the Role:
The Sales Manager – West Coast will be responsible for increasing market share and strengthening relationships with distributors, key accounts, and partners in the region. This role requires a strategic and results-driven professional with deep industry knowledge, capable of identifying new business opportunities, executing effective sales strategies, and ensuring brand growth. The position is key to maintaining and expanding the company's reputation for premium coffee solutions while achieving sales targets and fostering long-term partnerships.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales plans to achieve revenue and market share goals in the West Coast region.
- New Business Development: Identify and engage potential clients, including coffee roasters, dealers, distributors, and regional chain accounts.
- Client & Partner Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
- Market Expansion: Identify opportunities beyond traditional foodservice channels and explore creative approaches to new business development.
- Negotiations & Contracts: Lead contract discussions, pricing agreements, and strategic partnerships to optimize business growth.
- Training & Support: Conduct sales visits, provide product training, and support partners to maximize sales effectiveness.
- Industry Engagement: Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and regional conferences to enhance brand awareness.
- Market Intelligence: Gather insights on competitor activities, market trends, and customer needs to refine sales strategies.
- Drive sales and revenue growth in alignment with company objectives.
- Execute strategies set by global headquarters while tailoring approaches for the regional market.
- Ensure a strong product mix by promoting the full range of equipment solutions.
- Deliver sales volume, revenue, and margin targets through strategic account management.
- Develop category growth strategies and execute initiatives to strengthen brand positioning.
- Continuously improve customer relationships and service levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- 5+ years of proven sales experience in the coffee industry or related sectors (foodservice equipment, hospitality).
- Strong understanding of the specialty coffee industry and professional espresso machines, preferred.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic sales plans.
- Highly organized, results-oriented, and a problem solver.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the West Coast region and occasionally internationally.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for coffee and premium equipment.
- Strong team player in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
