About the Opportunity
Our client, an internationally renowned luxury lighting manufacturer from Italy is seeking a Sales Director to lead its U.S. growth strategy. With over 40 years of heritage and a footprint in 80+ countries, this brand is a trusted name in decorative and bespoke lighting for interior designers, architects, retailers, and contract professionals.
Following the 2020 launch of its U.S. entity in New York, the company is now scaling its presence in the U.S. and is looking for a visionary sales leader to spearhead this critical market.
Responsibilities
- Build and expand a nationwide sales network across retail, design, and contract channels
- Introduce and position the brand to lighting and furniture dealers, interior designers, architects, contractors, and eCommerce platforms
- Establish high-value partnerships and represent the brand at trade events and industry showcases
- Lead market penetration efforts and achieve strategic growth targets within 24 months
- Transition into the role of CEO of the U.S. entity, overseeing Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, and Logistics
- Report directly to the Global Chief Commercial Officer and contribute to global growth strategies
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in the luxury furniture or lighting sector, working with U.S.-based dealers, interior designers, and architects
- 5+ years in a sales leadership or general management role
- Proven track record in business development and relationship-building
- Familiarity with managing or supporting interior design projects
- Prior work experience working with an European brand, preferred
- Based in the New York Metro Area
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to travel extensively across the U.S. and overseas
- Degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
