Quality Senior Manager

Job Description
Our client, a global leader in international specialty food manufacturing, is seeking a Senior Quality Manager to lead quality and food safety programs across multiple U.S. manufacturing sites. This organization is internationally recognized for its commitment to product excellence, innovation, and high-quality ingredients, with a strong presence across global markets.
Reporting to senior leadership, the Senior Quality Manager will play a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening food safety systems, and driving continuous improvement across operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced quality professional with multi-site food manufacturing experience.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop Quality teams across multiple manufacturing locations

Serve as HACCP Coordinator and Team Leader, ensuring food safety programs are robust and compliant

Own and continuously improve the Quality Management System, including policies, procedures, and documentation

Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, GMP, HACCP, and internal food safety standards

Manage food safety and quality certifications, including GFSI, BRC, Organic, Non-GMO, and customer-specific programs

Plan and lead internal and external audits; drive corrective and preventive actions

Oversee internal laboratories, environmental monitoring, pest control, and testing programs

Manage finished product positive release and hold/release processes for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods

Analyze quality data, KPIs, complaints, and non-conformances to identify trends and improvement opportunities

Partner cross-functionally with Operations, R&D, Regulatory, and Sanitation teams to support operational excellence and new product initiatives
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field

5–10 years of Quality Management experience in food manufacturing, ideally with multi-site oversight

Strong knowledge of FDA, USDA, GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations

Experience managing GFSI, BRC, Organic, Non-GMO, or similar certification programs

Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and manage teams

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Fluency in Italian required
