Quality Manager

Job Description
The Quality Control (QC) Manager manages, plans, coordinates, and leads the quality control program to ensure that products meet established quality standards. This role will continuously monitor quality processes, products, and testing activities to ensure appropriate product performance. The QC Manager will ensure that the team is operating efficiently and timely to meet customer delivery requirements. Additionally, the position will plan, promote, and organize training activities related to all site-quality activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the QC team in the completion of inspection and testing activities.
- Ensure a safe culture and working environment.
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop staff members.
- Evaluate employee performance, recommend promotions, and disciplinary actions.
- Assure implementation and compliance with all quality management system requirements, including ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, and related standards.
- Plan and manage the execution of the Quality Control Plan.
- Identify and correct deviations from quality management system requirements.
- Monitor inspection and testing data for trends.
- Analyze and report results of inspection and testing activities.
- Identify, process, and mitigate occurrences of non-conformances.
- Ensure the effectiveness of testing and inspection activities.
- Continuously improve the efficiency of the inspection and testing process.
- Ensure inspection and testing activities support internal/external customer commitments.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or an industrial-related field.
- 5+ years of quality management and manufacturing operations experience.
- 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Expert knowledge of ISO 9001, quality assurance, and quality control principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated Operational Excellence improvements (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Experience managing mechanical testing in an industrial test lab (preferred).
