Position Summary:
- Responsible for conducting testing procedures during manufacturing processes to ensure products comply with quality standards.
- Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
- Understand and be able to apply basic inspection and testing techniques, including various types of sampling plans.
- Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions.
- Assist with gauge calibration responsibilities
- Document technical issues and solutions
- Monitor all production stages to ensure safety procedures are followed
- Performs final inspections
- Perform warehouse and receiving/shipping activities
- Creation of non-conforming reports for suspect product
- Perform internal audits when required
Essential Job Functions
- Ensure products meet customer expectations based on company objectives
- Monitor production operations to ensure conformance to customer specifications
- Place completed product in shipping area by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts, pallet jacks or cranes as needed
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (excel, word, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Traits:
- Knowledge of quality standards and regulations
- Team player who can work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints (drawings)
- Electrical testing knowledge
- Towmotor certification
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Knowledge of ISO9001 requirements
Education/Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma
- 5+ years of experience
