Job Overview:
The Operations Manager is a key technical resource within the company. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide specific technical skills and expertise across the facility. This includes ensuring compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, production goals, and all applicable governmental regulations. As the Operations Manager, you are vital in maintaining operational efficiency and making continuous improvements to meet production targets and uphold our commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
- Manage the entire facility and operations team, including production, warehouse management, maintenance, facility upkeep, sanitation, and customer support as needed.
- Oversee the full manufacturing process, from receiving raw materials and consumables to shipping finished products.
- Ensure manufacturing processes are efficient, and all orders are produced and shipped on time.
- Continuously improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity and minimize waste.
- Assist in all parts of the manufacturing facility as needed
- Track daily metrics and KPIs to meet productivity targets set by the management.
- Control labor and inventory to stay within budget.
- Use the company ERP system and customer ERP systems to manage and streamline operations as needed.
- Schedule production according to incoming orders to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Ensure that all machinery and equipment are operational and properly maintained, coordinating repairs when necessary.
- Make purchases as authorized under the company’s delegation of authority.
- Develop and support the operations team, addressing any needs they have to ensure they perform at their best.
- Oversee the recruitment process for operations team members, ensuring a well-rounded and skilled workforce.
- Serve as the main point of contact for production employees’ concerns or requirements.
- Set performance goals, evaluate team performance, and provide training and mentoring to support ongoing development.
- Work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure all quality standards are met consistently.
- Promote a culture of safety throughout the facility and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, as well as all relevant governmental regulations and procedures.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive work environment and support team collaboration.
- Drive results and lead by example to ensure operational excellence.
- Take full ownership and responsibility for the operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Support management with new projects as needed and assist with any additional tasks as required.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
- Extensive experience in operations management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage production processes, and implement improvements.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and operational workflows.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and analyzing data to inform operational decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
- Solid understanding of regulatory and safety standards, including OSHA and GMP.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as required.
- Must be able to bend, squat, and perform other physical tasks when necessary.
