Job Overview: Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Materials Planner to manage our inventory and materials planning processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in materials management and a deep understanding of supply chain principles. This role is critical to ensuring the seamless operation of our Client’s custom printing production lines and the timely availability of materials for our projects. 
Key Responsibilities:
Materials Planning:

  • Forecast material requirements based on production schedules and sales forecasts.

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing excess stock.

  • Coordinate with HQ in Italy to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.

  • Monitor material usage and adjust plans to accommodate changes in production requirements.

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve material availability and reduce lead times.

Inventory Management:
  • Track inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy.
  • ?Work with Account Managers to track customer inventory onsite and provide regular updates to project for future projects to ensure proper levels are kept in house

  • Implement and maintain inventory management systems and processes.

  • Work with the warehouse team to ensure proper storage and handling of materials.

  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with the sales, production, and logistics teams to align materials planning with business needs.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Italian HQ and production teams regarding material and production planning.

  • Prepare and present reports on inventory status, production schedules, and material usage.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration preferred, or equivalent work experience.

  • 3-5 years of experience in materials planning, or supply chain, preferably in the printing or manufacturing industry.

  • Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.

  • A flexible and agile mindset capable of managing and balancing multiple competing priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
