In this role, you will report directly to the on-site Plant/Production Manager. If you have an interest in metal production, laser cutting, and computerized equipment, and enjoy handling multiple tasks within a team environment, this position is for you. As a Laser Operator, you'll manufacture metal products using lasers and computerized equipment to ensure high standards. Any issues will be escalated to your supervisor to enhance workflow. Skills validation and employee evaluations will be conducted every six months to assess knowledge and adherence to standards and safety regulations.

Description
Major Responsibilities:
- Inspect parts from laser stations on the production floor, record defects, make key decisions to pass or stop production, and build rapport with other operators.
- Achieve daily production goals according to performance requirements for each production line.
- Produce parts that meet internal quality standards by interpreting blueprints, specifications, diagrams, and schematics.
- Perform process adjustments, routine inspections, and quality tests, determining the best laser cutting techniques to ensure safe, quality-oriented, and productive operations with minimal guidance.
- Inspect incoming materials from suppliers for use in welding assembly and report findings into the quality system.
- Assist in root cause corrective actions, containment, defective production resolution, and maintenance support activities in line with business and internal regulations.
- Participate in various levels of internal and external audits.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts through the Kaizen work philosophy.
Job Requirements We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of operating Prima Power 3D Axis Laser Next 1530 or Trumpf laser, including 3- or 5-axis lasers.
- Education: High School diploma or higher.
- 2-3 years of previous experience in a production environment, demonstrating the ability to learn multiple tasks.
- Excellent attendance record, with willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to perform visual inspections, mechanical measurements, and calibration verifications using micrometers, calipers, etc.
