Job Description
Location: Kissimmee, FL
A growing FAA Rotor-Blade Repair Station in Kissimmee, FL, is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee daily quality operations within the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic team within a family-oriented company, which benefits from the resources and support of a larger corporate structure. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent communication skills, capable of mentoring and coaching employees in a repair station environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the highest quality standards for all work performed in the Repair Station, maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and manufacturers' specifications and recommendations.
- Perform final inspections and return-to-service evaluations.
- Conduct in-process inspections, evaluate work packages, and troubleshoot issues.
- Maintain and enforce the use of proper regulatory documentation throughout the Repair Station, including the development and upkeep of the Repair Station Quality Manual (RSQM), forms, and training manuals.
- Ensure personnel are informed of regulatory changes and updates.
- Manage technician training, including certification and re-certification processes, as well as initial training programs.
- Oversee Civil Aviation Authority audits, including FAA and EASA compliance. Conduct internal audits and customer quality audits, ensuring quality standards are upheld across all operations.
- Qualify and audit external contractors to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Manage corrective action processes to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Oversee and manage OSHA and ITAR programs to ensure workplace safety and regulatory adherence.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Certification: FAA Repairman’s or A&P is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 3 years of component repair and overhaul experience; rotorcraft or rotor-blade maintenance experience is preferred.
- Quality Experience: 3-5 years in a quality inspector or similar role within an aerospace repair station or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, inspection methods, and airworthiness standards, including FAA and Military maintenance manual interpretation.
Experience with government contracts is a plus.
Technical Skills: Strong IT proficiency.
Compliance:
Must meet ITAR oversight citizenship requirements.
