GL Accountant

Position Overview
The General Ledger (GL) Accountant plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting by maintaining the integrity of the company’s general ledger and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to grow within a global company experiencing exciting expansion.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial data.

Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.

Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met.

Maintain compliance with GAAP or IFRS accounting standards.

Analyze financial statements and reports, identifying trends and variances.

Manage accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset accounting.

Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed.

Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll to ensure seamless financial operations.
Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2–5 years of relevant accounting experience (GL, AP, or AR).

Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS principles.

Experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).

Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis).

Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and communication skills.

CPA, CMA, or ACCA certification (or progress toward one) preferred.
