Position Overview
The General Ledger (GL) Accountant plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting by maintaining the integrity of the company’s general ledger and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to grow within a global company experiencing exciting expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial data.

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Maintain compliance with GAAP or IFRS accounting standards.

  • Analyze financial statements and reports, identifying trends and variances.

  • Manage accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset accounting.

  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll to ensure seamless financial operations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience (GL, AP, or AR).

  • Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS principles.

  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).

  • Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis).

  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and communication skills.

  • CPA, CMA, or ACCA certification (or progress toward one) preferred.
