Flight Test Engineer

Job Description
- Plan and execute comprehensive test programs, ensuring compliance with certification standards such as ARP4754A, DO-160, and DO-178C.
- Develop flight test plans and procedures, including instrumentation setup, safety protocols, and test matrices.
- Create and manage an evidence matrix to support the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) process, ensuring all data aligns with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with certification authorities (FAA, EASA) to ensure smooth delivery of systems through the STC process, maintaining accurate records of test results.
- Analyze flight test data, validating system performance and compliance with certification standards.
- Oversee system integration and test setup, ensuring systems meet performance and regulatory requirements.
- Generate detailed reports, flight test documentation, and compliance evidence for regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in delivering systems through the STC process and creating/managing evidence matrices for certification.
- Extensive hands-on experience in flight test execution, data analysis, and reporting.
- Knowledge of aerospace certification standards (ARP4754A, DO-160, and DO-178C).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills for managing fast-moving projects and cross-functional teams.
- Taking part in ensuring the safety of our test flights operations.
- Refinement of the pTEMP, and establishing a TEMP
- Working with Systems Engineer to establish the correct verification methods for their requirements
- Working with our engineers to identify the requirements for DO-160 data collection systems
- Creating, executing, and managing test cases, cards, plans and campaigns
- Analyzing and reporting on the results of campaigns to the ODA/FAA
