CNC Lathe Operator- 1st shift

Job Description
Summary/Objective:
Programs and operates CNC Lathe machine to ensure finished products meet established Quality Control Standards.
Essential Functions:
- Starts up, shuts down, and operates CNC Lathe machine.
- Write, comprehend, off-set, and adjust CNC Lathe programs
- Tooling selection and evaluation
- Ensures daily production schedule is completed
- Interpret engineering drawings/blueprints
- Performs routine maintenance as outlined in procedure.
- Moves heavy materials with hoist and proper material handling methods.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Follows safety procedures and reports any accident, incident, or unsafe conditions.
- Escalates Production and Safety issues to Production Lead or Production Supervisor.

Work Environment: Frequently exposed to noise, fumes, airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts.
Physical Demands: Regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Position involves walking and lifting up to 50 pounds for long periods of time throughout the day. Operating a forklift, as needed, after properly certified.
PPE: Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes required. Gloves, ear plugs, and other protective covering as needed.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience working with CNC Lathe machine
- Previous production experience.
- Proficient in use of measuring devices, including calipers, micrometers, and the knowledge of precision tolerances.
