Field Service Engineer

Job Description
Responsibilities
Customer Site Visits:
- Travel to customer sites, both domestic and international, to troubleshoot and resolve issues with label printing and cutting machines.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems.
- Provide on-site support for the installation of new label printing and cutting machines at customer facilities.
- Collaborate with customers to ensure a smooth and efficient setup process, offering technical guidance and training as needed.
- Offer remote technical support to customers via phone or email when on-site presence is not required.
- Act as a point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and providing timely solutions to technical challenges.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of service visits, troubleshooting procedures, and resolutions.
- Generate comprehensive reports for each service assignment, outlining the work performed, parts utilized, and recommendations for ongoing machine maintenance.
- Work closely with the engineering and customer support teams to convey customer feedback, recurring issues, and potential product improvements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure the timely delivery of replacement parts and resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a technical certification with at least 3-5 years of relevant field experience.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery, with a focus on label printing and cutting machines.
- Strong background in both mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
- Proficiency in working with Siemens and Bosch technology. Programing knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
- Willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally, as per job requirements.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in the printing or packaging industry.
- Familiarity with label printing and cutting machine software.
- Knowledge of Spanish or other languages is a plus.
