We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead the EHS function at a key North American manufacturing facility. This role reports directly to the General Manager and plays a pivotal part in creating a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. There is significant opportunity for advancement, including potential to expand your leadership responsibilities across multiple sites as the organization continues to grow. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS programs and policies in alignment with corporate goals and regulatory requirements.
Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001 standards, while proactively identifying risk and driving mitigation strategies.
Manage all hazardous waste protocols, including storage, documentation, transportation, and disposal in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
Conduct regular EHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments; develop and oversee corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA).
Respond to and manage all safety complaints, incident investigations, near-miss reporting, and employee concerns to drive a culture of accountability.
Maintain accurate Safety Data Sheets (SDS), chemical inventories, and regulatory documentation.
Develop and deliver EHS training to employees at all levels; promote awareness and ownership of safety and environmental responsibilities.
Serve as the primary liaison for local, state, and federal regulatory agencies and manage all compliance reporting.
Track and analyze EHS performance metrics; prepare reports and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Collaborate with other departments and corporate leadership to align EHS efforts with broader business strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive EHS experience, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
High exposure to hazardous waste management and familiarity with RCRA regulations.
Demonstrated experience working within and maintaining ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
